Kansas State Team Report Nov 4, 2009
The Kansas State records for kickoff returns belong to Brandon Banks.
He has a trio of Kansas State and Big 12 records—five career kickoff returns for touchdowns, four returns in a single season, and two in a single game. And the list of heroics is growing after his 98-yard return against Oklahoma last week.
In his two-year career, Banks, only 5-7 and 150 pounds, has accounted for 3,378 all-purpose yards, which ranks fourth in KSU history behind four-year Wildcats in Darren Sproles (2001-04, 6,812), Aaron Lockett (1998-01, 4,023) and Andre Coleman (1990-93, 3,443).
In Banks' career, he's touched the ball 188 times for 3,378 yards, or 17.9 yards per touch.
He averaged 17.8 yards per touch last season, and is at 18.0 yards this year. ...More |
