An internal investigation at Kansas continues into alleged misconduct by coach Mark Mangino related to the treatment of players.

Meanwhile, the eighth-year coach continues to head the Jayhawks, who can become bowl eligible with a victory against Missouri on Nov. 28 in Kansas City's Arrowhead Stadium. Kansas stands 5-6 overall, but a six-game losing streak gives the Jayhawks a 1-6 mark in the Big 12 as the last-place team in the North Division.

The situation with Mangino, which has prompted former players to speak on behalf, and against the coach, may take time to resolve. A firing involves a possible buyout of $6.6 million, which Kansas must pay if it cannot show cause for Mangino's termination.
