A Baylor team adjusting to life without Heisman Trophy winner Robert Griffin III will play its first two Big 12 games next season against league newcomers West Virginia and TCU. West Virginia will make its Big 12 debut on Sept. 29 at home against Baylor, which two weeks later will host former Southwest Conference rival and new Big 12 foe TCU for the second year in a row. ...More |

The goals set by Charlie Weis as he approaches his first season at Kansas may seem ambitious. Even unrealistic.
He expects to win right away with the Jayhawks, who lost their last 10 games a year ago while going 0-9 in the Big 12 under Turner Gill, who was fired after two seasons as the Jayhawks' coach.
Of course, what coach is going to come out and say he expects mediocrity?
"Don't you think I have an ethical responsibility to the older players to shoot for (wins) as a goal?" Weis asked. "Dayne (Crist) didn't come in here and say, 'Hey, let's go 2-10 again.'
