Houston needed a win to stay alive in the Conference USA race. Case Keenum engineered it in record-setting fashion. Keenum threw for 405 yards and five touchdowns in just more than two quarters as Houston beat Memphis 55-14 on Saturday.    One more win.

   That's what stands between Houston and a berth in the Conference USA championship game.

   The Cougars needed a little help heading into last weekend's action, and they got it in the form of Marshall's victory over first-place SMU, putting the Mustangs and Cougars in a tie for the top spot in the Western Division.

   So now all Houston has to do is beat Rice this weekend to earn the Western Division berth in the title game, thanks to its tiebreaker edge it holds over SMU because of a victory earlier this season over the Mustangs.

   Coach Kevin Sumlin and the Cougars aren't even looking that far ahead, though, preferring to instead focus on the Bayou Bucket, the trophy that goes to the annual ...More
