Already eliminated from bowl contention, Florida Atlantic is playing for pride.

The Owls (3-7, 3-3 SBC) will play their final home game of the season Saturday against Western Kentucky trying to avoid their third-worst season in school history. FAU has finished 2-9 in two of its previous eight seasons.

The game against winless Western Kentucky (0-10, 0-6 SBC) should give FAU a chance to send its seniors out on a positive note for Senior Day. The Owls are favored by 14.5 points.

"You have to start talking about the core objective of playing the game of football, and that's to win," FAU coach Howard Schnellenberger said. "It becomes a matter of personal pride and historical improvement."

Brown leads Troy past Florida Atlantic 47-21 (AP)

Levi Brown threw for a school-record 477 yards and Troy clinched at least a share Saturday of a fourth straight Sun Belt championship with a 47-21 win over Florida Atlantic. Brown, who went 27-for-36, threw for his third 400-yard game of the season. He broke his own school record of 469 yards, set against North Texas Oct.

Florida Atlantic defeats Arkansas State 35-18 (AP)

Jeff Van Camp threw three touchdown passes to lead Florida Atlantic over Arkansas State 35-18 on Saturday. Alfred Morris rushed for two scores and caught a touchdown pass for the Owls (3-6, 3-2 Sun Belt Conference), who won their first home game of the season. Van Camp was 18-for-27 for 242 yards in his second start at quarterback this season, replacing the injured Rusty Smith.
