The early returns on Florida Atlantic's move to a hurry-up spread offense from the pro-set the Owls utilized under coach Howard Schenellenberger seem to be good.

"I like it a lot," quarterback Graham Wilbert told the Palm Beach Post after the Owls wound up spring drills. "It's all about utilizing what we have and who we are.

"Whether it's four or five wide receivers, or three running backs, it's about what's going to make us the best."

Wilbert, last year's starter, one of four quarterbacks who played in the spring game He split time on the first team with sophomore Stephen Curtis. Others who played were Nick Bracewell, a redshirt freshman, and last year's backup, David Kooi.
