Duke Team Report Nov 4, 2009

  Usually when Duke plays North Carolina, it's at the end of the season. And the Blue Devils are just about happy to have it finished.

  This time, the annual meeting has found a new date on the calendar, and Duke is the thick of the race to finish atop the ACC's Coastal Division standings.

  It makes for an almost awkward get-together because many of the storylines can concentrate on the football strategies rather than the other factors that might be involved in a meeting between rivals located just a few miles apart.

  Still, this game was placed in early November, despite Duke's objections, because North Carolina prefers an end-of-the-season matchup with North Carolina State, which it considers a more relevant football rival.
