      <description>Michael Blanchard rushed for 102 yards on 10 carries and threw for another 78 yards to help Davidson snap a three-game losing streak and beat San Diego 34-27 on Saturday. Blanchard replaced Matt Heavner at quarterback in the second quarter with the Wildcats (3-6, 3-4 Pioneer) trailing 17-14. He led two scoring drives with rushes of 22 and 35 yards that put Davidson ahead for good.</description>

The victory kept the Bulldogs unbeaten this season at 8-0 overall and 5-0 in the Pioneer Football League, while the Wildcats fell to 2-6 and 2-4. Huck completed 14 of 26 pass attempts to six receivers, without an interception.</description>
