Arizona State, which hesitates, is lost. And now Colorado State may have the quarterback who serves as the program's foundation for coach Steve Fairchild.
Pete Thomas, a Rivals.com four-star recruit, originally committed to ASU but reportedly wavered when coach Dennis Erickson fired offensive coordinator Rich Olson and went through an extended search before naming Noel Mazzone as his successor.
That allowed CSU to swoop in and nab Thomas, a 6-foot-5, 220-pounder from El Cajon, Calif., who is already enrolled in school and will participate in spring practice.
Thomas' arrival, however, meant the departure of quarterback Tyler Shreve, a three-star Rivals recruit who changed his commitment from Colorado State to Utah. ...More |
