If you're a fan of quarterback battles, follow BYU this spring—and possibly into the fall. It could make for very good drama. One option is Jake Heaps, the top-rated drop-back passer in the country. The Washington native gave BYU a big-time recruiting splash and also brought friends. "When you look at the recruiting class that we're going to end up signing this year, a lot of it is because of him going to work to surround himself with the best players and best kids possible," BYU coach Bronco Mendenhall said. One such player is Ross Apo, a receiver from Arlington, Texas, who originally committed to Texas.
