For the second time in three years, ESPN has successfully scheduled an unofficial WAC championship game.

Boise State will take on Nevada on Friday night at Bronco Stadium. If Nevada wins, the Wolf Pack win the outright WAC title. If Boise State wins, the Broncos clinch at least a share of their seventh WAC title in eight years. They would need to beat New Mexico State to wrap up the outright title.

"This kind of defines our season," Boise State wide receiver Austin Pettis said.

The Broncos played in a similar game two years ago at Hawaii. The Warriors prevailed—ending the Broncos' five-year WAC reign.

Nevada is a similar threat this year. Like Hawaii, the Wolf Pack enter this game with a red-hot offense—rushing for 445.6 yards per game during an ...More
