Theo Scott found Terrence McCrae for a 7-yard touchdown with just over 3 minutes remaining Saturday to lift Ohio to a 20-17 victory over Ball State. The pair also accounted for a 2-point conversion following the TD, giving the Bobcats (6-3, 4-1 Mid-American) a 20-17 lead. Ball State's passing game will be under the microscope in November as it prepares to play the final three games of the season.

The Cardinals haven't demonstrated the ability to throw the ball with effectiveness since starting quarterback Kelly Page was lost for the season Oct. 15 with a broken thumb on his throwing hand.

Backup Tanner Justice has moved into the starting role, but his ability to throw the ball has been limited. In his first start, he completed 2-of-10 passes for 1 yard. In the next game, he completed 6-of-9 for 78 yards.
