Air Force linebacker Andre Morris Jr. didn't lead the team in tackles, didn't have any sacks, and didn't really turn in any spectacular plays. Still, he may have made the biggest impact of all in Air Force's 35-7 win over Army on Saturday. The second time was the charm for Army kicker Alex Carlton, and as a result Army looks like a good bet to have its best season in recent history.

Carlton had the opportunity to lead the Cadets past Tulane a week ago, but he missed a 37-yarder with 12 seconds left. Given another chance to be the hero against Vanderbilt, he kicked a 42-yard field goal in overtime to get carried off the field after securing Army's 16-13 win.

The victory evens the Cadets' record at 3-3, giving Army a .500 record in mid-October for the first time since 1996. It's another sign of progress for Army in a season that has seen new hope arrive in West Point.
