Lance Kelley's interception with 2:52 left stopped an Arkansas State rally and saved Louisiana-Lafayette's 21-18 victory Saturday. The Ragin' Cajuns (5-4, 3-2 Sun Belt) led 21-3 until the Red Wolves (2-6, 1-3) rallied behind redshirt freshman quarterback Ryan Aplin, who led the team to 15 fourth-quarter points.

Arkansas State is 2-5, and four of the five losses have been by eight points or less, all where one play could have made the difference.

"It's been different things in different games that have cost us chances to win," ASU coach Steve Roberts told Monday's Sun Belt coaches media conference. "We're 0-3 against teams from BCS conferences and 2-2 against the rest of our schedule.

"We've had a very difficult schedule, one that we've been in every ballgame with the exception of one."

Louisville had to depend on its third quarterback on the depth chart for a 21-13 win over Arkansas State on Saturday night. Redshirt freshman Will Stein completed 20 of 39 passes for 232 yards and one interception in his first career start for the Cardinals (3-5). Freshman running back Darius Ashley ran for 77 yards and two touchdowns.

Corey Leonard and Reggie Arnold each rushed for more than 100 yards to lead Arkansas State to a 27-10 win over Florida International on Saturday. Arnold, who rushed 104 yards for Arkansas State (2-4, 1-2 Sun Belt), scored on a 14-yard run with 6:08 left. His TD was set up when teammate M.D. Jennings recovered a Florida International (1-6, 1-3) fumble on the previous play.
