Ryan Mallett went 23 of 27 for 329 yards to lead Arkansas to a 33-16 victory over South Carolina on Saturday. Mallett was 12 of 13 in the second half, and the Razorbacks scored 23 unanswered points to finish the game. Coming off an easy victory, Arkansas faces some of its biggest games of the season, with a 4-4 overall record and a 1-4 mark in the SEC.
If the Razorbacks are going to get to a bowl, they need to win at least two of their last four, which means the most important part of the season is right now, starting Saturday against South Carolina.
"We need to go out there and win the game," said coach Bobby Petrino. "Much like the Texas A&M and Auburn games, it is a must win for us. We've got to do a great job in our preparation and our practice this week. We need to go out and execute and perform on the field on Saturday."
Despite the team's struggles, Petrino doesn't see any in-fighting or problems among the players. ...More |
