It won't be easy getting over the double-overtime loss to Oregon, when any of a number of plays down the stretch could have made the difference, but this week's opponent will help.

Arizona (6-4, 4-3) continues on against rival Arizona State, which, at 4-7 overall, sees this as its bowl game and has nothing left to lose.

UA coach Mike Stoops began his weekly Monday press conference by not wanting to talk about the 44-41 loss to Oregon, saying his team didn't even review tape of the game.

An often hostile rivalry awaits.

"We're close," said Stoops, whose team has lost three conference games by a total of 14 points. "We just have to keep moving forward."

Arizona State is struggling, having lost five consecutive games to finish out of the postseason...

Arizona is out of the Pac-10 race, and it's easy to see why. The Wildcats haven't learned how to finish games. They led in the fourth quarter of all three of their conference losses. Last weekend's 44-41 double-overtime loss to No. 11 Oregon was the latest in a string of heartbreakers for the Wildcats.

Arizona coach Mike Stoops called Oregon athletic director Mike Bellotti to express concern for the health of a Ducks cheerleader who was hit in the head by a water bottle thrown from the grandstand on Saturday night. Katelynn Johnson suffered a concussion as the Ducks celebrated a 44-41 double-overtime victory in Arizona Stadium.

Oregon quarterback Jeremiah Masoli watched as red-clad Arizona students ringed the sidelines as time ticked down, ready to rush the field. "I saw it and I actually smirked," Masoli said.
