http://us.rd.yahoo.com/sports/rss/ncaaf/SIG=13a3llcvd/*http%3A//sports.yahoo.com/ncaaf/news?slug=teamreports-2009-ncaaf-aac&prov=sportsxchange&type=team_report

The Zips welcome the end of a three-game roadtrip. Akron returns home after losing at Buffalo, Syracuse and Northern Illinois to fall to 1-7 and 0-4 in the MAC East Division.

A plethora of injuries to key players has led to a frustrating season for the Zips, who have lost six straight since defeating Morgan State in Week 2. Freshman quarterback Patrick Nicely is slated to start his fourth game this season against rival Kent State. Nicely shares a unique distinction with KSU quarterback Spencer Keith. Both are freshmen, and were rushed into starting duty after starting the season as third-stringers.

Nicely hasn't quite put up the big numbers as Keith. Nicely has completed 53 of 109 passes for 613 yards and one touchdown.
