How much did USC pay Paul Dee?? Does that make any sense? Do you know who Paul Dee is? He is the a$$ hole who screwed USC for "lack of institutional control". All the while, his Miami team had 70+ players taking illegal funds from dudes. Makes a lot of sense for USC to get these punishments because of 1 player, and then Miami gets a slap on the wrist for over 70 players doing it. Wow...all the while it was under his watch when he was AD.
Well, justice was served.
College Football is less than 4 months away! Hurry up CF!

College Football.
I just read an article about my team Utah. They have a new offensive co-ordinator (Brian Johnson) who is going to bring back the spread offense Utah played when Alex Smith was there. I am excited to see this. Since Brian was a QB there about this time. I hope it will be exciting.
The defense more than held up its end. The Utes were in the top three in the league in total defense, rush defense and pass efficiency defense and led the league in scoring defense. The offense was the problem.
Jordan Wynn’s ability to stay healthy will go a long way toward determining Utah’s success.
While JC transfer John White rushed for 1,519 yards and 15 TDs, the passing offense was tepid. If they could spread it out and have White keep picking up his 100+ yard games I think they will have both sides of the field covered. We will see in the upcoming year. I am looking forward to this year if they do what I read. A spread offense likethey had prior should open it up for White in rushing and the recievers should do well. I have my fingers crossed that Jordon Wynn can stay healthy.
not a bad weekend for the b10....4, possibly 5 in the b-ball field of 16....in ncaa wrestling, the b10 took the top 3 spoys and 4 of the top 5...which makes it 28 nat'l titles for the b10 since 1975...compared to 9 for the b12 and 1 for the pac....western wrestling is on an upswing...oregon st finished 10th and is getting better..stanford was 16th...boise st, ariz st. and cal-poly have had some good years too...in the east, cornell is still a power, they took 4th.....the top 5...1 penn st..2. minn..3. iowa..4. cornell..5 ohio st.....all settled on the mat, not by an opinion poll
Hey guys, I have some important news, my children was born last night, so thanks for the support through tthe season, and see you in September!
BAMA 2013
The team ranker is bogus anyways. LSU drops in ranks because the stupid thing asks about the same match-ups multiple times instead of going through each team top to bottom. 3 times in 30 clicks it asked me who I think is better...TCU or Boise State. The system asked about LSU once and that was against Indiana Hoosiers.
Having the extra home game is another reason not to have the nine game schedule. Playing the smaller schools for that game more than likely will not be a home and home situation where they keep getting paid which is the main goal. The reason why the SEC teams still have a better overall SOS is because more than likely they will play higher ranked teams in conference also not until last year there was that championship game they had to play which the Big Ten and then Pac-12 didn't have to go through.
well actually, 7 neutral field games in the sec
regarding a 9 game conf schedule, which the b10 is considering....is it better to have an unbalanced schedule whereby half the schools get an extra home game, or for each to play a game on a neutral field ?....say for instance the b10 scheduling 6 games at soldier field...or the sec scheduling 6 games in, oh, let's say birmingham...or the pac playing 6 on a neutral field ( not sure where, perhaps 3 in the north, 3 in the south) ?....any thoughts ?
I mean, I don't mind if the teams play decent teams in non conference, but to schedule 3 sunbelt teams and New Mexico as you non conference schedule, you should be punished for that, but somehow certain teams still end up with top 10 or 20 SOS with those teams. I dont care how tough the schedule is in conference, that should be discouraged and should result in lower rank. but it doesnt.
The thing is they don't care how it's perceived. They are willing to sacrifice tradition for dollars. Look at all of the conference jumping of late. No respect for rivalries from other sports or the obvious geography falsehoods where the very name of the conference is concerned. Doesn't matter as long as the money comes in.
I just think the 8 game conference schedule is weak when you have 12 teams or more to play in conference. It really waters things down and I think it is weak.
The Big 10 and the ACC still plays an 8 game conference schedule. Why they do it? To make sure they qualify for their bowl games. Something the Pac-12 failed to do and lost out on some money. As far as Utah goes it's probably the same conference schedule for 2 years. That's how it's done in the Big Ten. Tennessee did turn down to play SC last year but you really couldn't blame them. The 3 teams they had to play in the SEC West? LSU, Bama and Arkansas. If they had played SC their shot at a bowl game would've been D.O.A. The record I've seen SC against the SEC is 16-10-1. Where Bama (2-5) and Florida(0-1-1) are the only teams they have with a losing record.
Just looking at schedules and some how the University of Utah doesn't play Oregon or Stanford again this year in conference play....how does that happen???
Miss the top 2 teams from the North in back to back years? Basically if they can beat USC at home, they are a lock to make the PAC 12 title game, and possibly a BCS bowl because the rest of their schedule is pretty soft.
Can somebody explain to me why the SEC voted to stay with an 8 game conference schedule. Are they the only team still playing only 8 conference games? It is so ridiculous. They have the most teams, but play the least conference games? How is that fair? I mean, 9 conference games is much more entertaining than watching them play the Citadel or Tennessee Chattonooga each year.
I dont understand why the NCAA doesn't just force them to go to a 9 game conference schedule. Especially with 14 teams in teh conference now. Unreal. It makes the SOS sooooo much easier and basically guarantees the conference of 10-11 teams in bowl games since they are a lock to go 4-0 non conference with the bums that teams like Kentucky and Vanderbilt play, then just have to go a whopping 2-6 in conference games to be bowl eligible. Embarrassing.
By the way, USC cheats more than any other program? Can you explain how they "cheat". I am still yet to see one member of the USC staff "cheat". The investigation proved zero. 5 years of digging led them to punish USC by saying "you should have known that Reggie Bush's stepdad was dealing with an agent in San Diego"....nice work NCAA. Way to find USC guilty of nothing but 1 player and his family doing wrong. What a bad program right? Get real dude. You jealousy is obvious and it is rather repulsive.
