Xavier Grimble

On the Hoof: Huge, hulking tight end with a lean, yet muscular upper body and a lower half of an athletic offensive lineman. From the waist down, he just looks like someone that can push defensive ends and linebackers around.
Needs Improvement: Needs to watch how big his lower half gets or he may become an athletic offensive tackle. Also needs to improve overall speed and route running.
Most Impressive: His size makes him a mismatch for any linebacker or safety at the next level. Grimble also possesses soft hands for a giant. He didn't get a chance to catch a ton of balls as a junior, but that will change in 2009.
Conclusion: Like linebackers, tight ends make up a huge portion of all special teams and he should get a chance here and earn some playing time in mop-up duty as a freshman. Expect by his sophomore season that he will be either in the playing rotation or the tight end used most on running plays.
