Scouting Report on Terrence Mitchell

How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game setting, Campby Barry Every - 08/28/2009
  • SpeedAs Good As It Gets

  • AgilityBlue Chip
  • Ball SkillsDivision I Player
On the Hoof: Has the body of a muscular track athlete. Mitchell may be a tad shorter than the 5-foot-10 listed height.
Needs Improvement: He has played most of his career as a safety and needs to get reps working in man and off coverage on the edge. Mitchell will also need to add some strength in order to take on some of the bigger receivers he will face in college.
Most Impressive: Mitchell makes up for his size with his speed and leaping ability. He is very aggressive going after the ball and has the ability to change the face of the game with a pick six.
Conclusion: Will definitely get looks as a punt or kickoff return man because of his superior speed. Mitchell could also project as a wide receiver at the next level. He will most likely not see time as a freshman cornerback, but college coaches may try to get his speed on the field in another capacity. Expect him to be an impact player by his second year in a program.
