Scouting Report on Sean Parker

How we scouted: Film footage, In-person visits, Game setting, Campby Barry Every - 08/25/2009

  • Ball SkillsBlue Chip
On the Hoof: He would not be picked out of a lineup as the star safety. Parker does not have a lot of defined muscle tone and appears a tad soft around the middle for a skill-position athlete. He does posses an athletic lower half and has very long arms for his size.
Needs Improvement: Needs to improve upper body strength and size since he is not the tallest safety. Parker needs to keep his feet and run through ball carriers while making tackles.
Most Impressive: Has very good ball skills and does a nice job reading run/pass. Parker may not be the biggest safety, but he is not afraid to unload with every inch of strength while tackling.
Conclusion: Could play a role on special teams as a freshman but will most likely redshirt while he gains needed muscle mass and strength. Parker projects as a two- to three-year starter that will overachieve and make a name for himself.

Signing Day Blitz: Ranking the Pac-102/4/2010 Rivals.com Football Recruiting

USC was once again the big story on National Signing Day in the Pac-10 and nationally, but the Trojans weren't the only Pac-10 program that had a big finish on Wednesay. UCLA and Cal - which landed Keenan Allen on Signing Day - were among the other teams that closed strong in the Pac-10. We break it all down in the Pac-10 Blitz.
