On the Hoof: Monster-looking kid with great upper body and well-proportioned lower body. He weighs 300 pounds and doesn't look it.
Needs Improvement: His school runs the ball a lot and he has not had the reps to be considered a proficient pass blocker at this time. Similar to other young linemen, he needs to be more consistent with pad level at the point of attack.
Most Impressive: He is more athletic than what most people think. Right now, he is a dominant run blocker and is one of the main reasons teammate Monte Ball was the leading rusher in the state two years ago. Demien is a tough nut that plays the game with a nasty attitude.
Conclusion: Unless there is an injury and he is needed because of his versatility, Demien will most likely redshirt. But don't let that fool you, because he should make a major impact at the next level and become a three-year starter with NFL potential.
