On the Hoof: Elam is built like a tank, both in the upper and lower body. He's strong, extremely physical and runs exceptionally well. He looks like a beast and plays like a beast.
Needs Improvement: Needs to improve his ability to play the ball in the air as a defender. Elam looks to make the big stick and ignore the ball, which is great from an intimidation point of view, but a key pick can turn a game around instantly.
Most Impressive: Very versatile and may be able to play running back, linebacker or safety at the next level. He will surely excel early in his career on special teams.
Conclusion: Right now, he is a man without a position at the next level. But he will find a way to get on the field in some capacity early in his career because of his great work ethic and superior athletic ability.
