On the Hoof: Tall, very lean athlete with long arms, long legs and thin waist. He would definitely be considered a tall corner if that is the position he ends up playing. He is built like USC cornerback T.J. Bryant.
Needs Improvement: Seems a tad stiff and must improve change of direction by improving flexibility. He does not get to play defensive back on a regular basis, so it could take him longer to get up to speed on the technique of being a corner.
Most Impressive: He definitely has legit 4.5-speed and should also make an excellent kick returner at the next level. He is also versatile enough to play receiver and stretch the field vertically.
Conclusion: Not sure if he will get a chance to see the field as a corner as a freshman because he will need time to work on technique and get used to playing the position on a regular basis, but don’t be surprised if he plays on every special teams unit except field goal and extra point. He is fast and coaches try to get speed on the field as soon as possible. If he does not mind contact he could become a difference maker in the secondary.
