On the Hoof: One of the prettiest looking offensive linemen in the entire country. Rodriguez is supported by a huge, athletic powerbase, which holds up a massive upper body. Not only does he have long arms, but they are very muscular for a lineman.
Needs Improvement: The level of competition he currently plays is not the best, and he may have never faced another D-I prospect under the Friday night lights. He needs to improve his pass set, because he has a tendency to overextend and reach out and attack rather than drop back and defend.
Most Impressive: Other than his overall size and body structure, Rodriguez is actually very nimble on his feet for a big guy. He is also a very good run blocker and knows how to keep his feet moving after initial engagement.
Conclusion: He is still very raw at this time and there could be an adjustment period as he gets comfortable going against bigger and faster players. Rodriguez will most likely redshirt as he hones his pass protection skills. If he ends up being half as good as he looks, he will be a future college star with serious NFL potential.
