Sam Houston State beats Central Arkansas 31-10
Saturday, Sep 17, 2011HUNTSVILLE, Texas (AP)—Tim Flanders rushed for 119 yards and a touchdown and Richard Sincere added 107 yards on the ground and two touchdowns to lead Sam Houston State to a 31-10 victory over Central Arkansas Saturday night.
Ryan Wilson also ran for a touchdown for the Bearkats (2-0), who finished with 316 rushing yards in the Southland Conference opener for both schools.
Sam Houston hadn’t had two backs with 100-yard performances since 1997, when Bennie Wylie and Erik Polk did it against Texas Southern.
Jackie Hinton scored the lone touchdown for Central Arkansas (1-2) on a 9-yard run. Hinton accounted for 44 of the Bears’ 47 rushing yards.
