OGDEN, Utah (AP)—Cameron Higgins threw for 248 yards and a touchdown as Weber State defeated UC Davis 20-9 on Saturday night.
With the Wildcats (2-2) clinging to a one-point lead in the fourth quarter, Higgins led them on a 15-play, 73-yard drive to a field goal. After the Aggies (1-3) punted, Higgins connected with Joe Collins for a back-breaking 60-yard score with 6:25 to play.
Collins had three receptions for 73 yards. Bo Bolen rushed for 88 yards on 17 carries for Weber State.
Shawn Creadick caught nine passes for 100 yards for UC Davis, which competes in the Great West Conference but in 2012 joins Weber State’s league, the Big Sky, in football only. Sean Kelley kicked three field goals for the Aggies.
