Brown leads Troy past Florida Atlantic 47-21

TROY, Ala. (AP)—Levi Brown threw for a school-record 477 yards and Troy clinched at least a share Saturday of a fourth straight Sun Belt championship with a 47-21 win over Florida Atlantic.

Brown, who went 27-for-36, threw for his third 400-yard game of the season. He broke his own school record of 469 yards, set against North Texas Oct. 24. He also set a single-season record with 3,575 yards, breaking Sim Byrd?s record in 1968.

Troy (8-3, 7-0) won its ninth straight conference game.

Brown threw touchdown passes of 19 yards to Patrick Cherry, 59 to Cornelius Williams and five to TeBiarus Gill.

Jerrel Jernigan led all receivers with six catches for 147 yards and he ran for 51 yards and a score.

Alfred Morris ran for 137 yards on 17 carries, including a 45-yard touchdown for Florida Atlantic (3-7, 3-3).
