Marshall outlasts SMU 34-31

Heh , Herd Fans: What a wonderful Thanksgiving for the team, staff and the Huntington Community. They have longed for a little success and now it appears the "worm has turned." Having lost three games by simple margins, the Herd could have gone through the motions the last two games. Instead, they have shown some "heart" to beat a division leader and now can add to that this week against the UTEP crew. I do hope that a game with a respected opponent will be forthcoming and MU can add to a quality Bowl record. We have a crew ready to go someplace to support the Herd in December. And just think, it is only 10 months for another shot at the Buckeyes in Columbus in Sept., 2010. We almost won the last encounter!!!!! GO HERD! FR - London,OH 11/24/09

I never said that Phillip. I was just wondering why a fan of UH would be on an SMU-Marshall post. However, next week if Rice takes care of business this conversation will be a moot point.

I don't know why Houston fans are on this post. I also don't know why they are thanking Marshall, because they haven't clinched anything yet. Even if Houston does clinch next week, enjoy it. Next year, Keenam will be in the NFL and your coach may have better job offers.

I wonder when SMU will realize that it's an embarassment to have Dubya's library there. Hell, the thing will probably just be full of pop-up books.

The fact that SMU will be in a bowl is hilarious. SMU in, Washington and Michigan out. Notre Dame should be out, but someone will want them to fill their building.

Tony - worse Presidents than Bush have libraries and such named after them, and I think you meant, "intellgence" test,...not "intelligents" test. Hmmmm, no, I won't say anything.

Someone named a library after a Bush? Do you think old W. ever even picked up a book? I mean we all know he never picked up a intelligents report.

I suspect that June Jones is the best $4-million SMU has ever spent. Hell, if he gets SMU into a bowl game they just might rename the Bush Presidential Library after him!
