Monmouth holds off St. Francis 24-10

LORETTO, Pa. (AP)—Kyle Frazier threw two touchdown passes and David Sinisi rushed for a touchdown and caught another, leading Monmouth (N.J.) to a 24-10 win over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.

Frazier was 17-for-21 with 128 yards for the Hawks (5-4, 4-2 Northeast Conference), and Sinisi rushed for 168 yards on 27 carries. He also caught four balls for 11 yards.

Frazier threw a 9-yard TD pass to Sinisi with just under 4 minutes left in the first quarter, giving Monmouth a 10-3 lead. He then connected with Ryan Folsom on a 10-yard scoring pass and, after a failed extra point, gave the Hawks a 16-3 lead at halftime.

Sinisi’s TD run from a yard out, and a two-point conversion, put Monmouth up 24-3 with 5:39 left in the game. Daniel Conley’s 1-yard TD run pulled the Red Flash (2-7, 1-5) within the final margin.

John Kelly passed for 142 yards and an interception for St. Francis.
