Eastern Illinois beats Murray State 16-10

MURRAY, Ky. (AP)—Austin Signor kicked three field goals and Eastern Illinois beat Murray State 16-10 on Saturday.

With the game tied 10-10 in the fourth quarter, Signor kicked field goals of 37 and 36 yards for the Panthers (7-2, 5-1 Ohio Valley Conference). He made another 37-yarder just before halftime to give the Panthers a 10-7 lead.

The Panthers managed the win without an offensive touchdown. Their other score came on a 34-yard interception return by Rashad Haynes that tied the score 7-7 in the second quarter.

Eastern Illinois forced two turnovers and sacked Eastern Illinois’ Nico Yankto six times.

Charlie Jordan scored the only touchdown for the Racers (2-6, 1-4) on a 3-yard run that opened the scoring in the first quarter.

The Panthers have won three in a row, each by eight points or less.
