CORVALLIS, Ore. (AP)—Jacquizz Rodgers had 112 yards rushing, 96 yards receiving and a touchdown pass, his brother James Rodgers ran for the winning score, and Oregon State had to scramble for a 26-19 win over UCLA on Saturday.

Kevin Prince completed 22 of 34 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns, and rallied the Bruins back from a 19-3 fourth-quarter deficit, but UCLA (3-4, 0-5 Pac-10) fell for the fifth straight week to match its worst-ever start in conference play. Rosario Nelson had six catches for 152 yards and a touchdown for the Bruins.

UCLA tied the game at 19 after Prince threw for two touchdowns and two two-point conversions, but the Beavers marched down the field for a 70-yard drive that James Rodgers capped with a 17-yard run on a fly sweep for the go-ahead touchdown.

That left Prince and the Bruins with 44 seconds and only one timeout to make a final drive, but time ran out after a completion to Taylor Embree at the Beaver 27.

Sean Canfield was 25 of 34 for 305 yards for the Beavers (5-3, 3-2), who beat the Bruins at in Corvallis for the first time since 1999. James Rodgers had 106 yards receiving. With the Rodgers brothers carrying most of the load, Oregon State moved the ball well on offense, but had comparatively little to show for it, settling for four Justin Kahut field goals when drives stalled.

The Beavers’ lone first half touchdown came with a direct snap to Jacquizz Rodgers in the wildcat formation. The tailback put his head down and dashed right, then straightened up to connect with Brady Camp for a wide-open, 14-yard TD pass. Added to three Kahut field goals, this gave Oregon State a 16-0 halftime lead.

Oregon State lost another scoring chance in the third after failing to convert on third down at the UCLA 25. The Beavers lined up for a field goal and holder Taylor Kavanaugh picked up the ball and started to run for a first down, but the play clock had run out. The penalty pushed the Beavers back five yards and Kahut was short on a 47-yard field goal try.

Oregon State started the fourth quarter with the ball and drove down to the UCLA 14, where they stalled again. The Beavers had to settle for another Kahut field goal, putting them up by 16 but leaving the door open for the Bruins, who immediately accepted the invitation.

First, Prince hit Nelson for a 58-yard touchdown pass and again for a two point conversation.

After a defense stop, the Bruins were forced to punt, but got another chance when the Beavers were called for having 12 men on the field during the kick return. Given new life, Prince connected with Nelson again for a 45-yard reception that set up a 7-yard score to Embree. The Bruins were successful on the two-point conversion to tie up the score with 2:06 left.

i like that UCLA found a gamebreaker in Rosario. He is a true talent and has a bright future ahead of him. Way to show some heart in coming back, but the Rodgers brothers proved to be too much.

It is sad to see the Bruins at the bottom of the Pac 10, but even sadder to see men's basketball not even ranked in the preseason polls.

Highly recommend UCLA withdraw this football team out of PAC-10 this year to avoid a shameful 0-9 lost. --- UCLA Alumni ---

"UCLA (3-4, 0-5 Pac-10) fell for the fifth straight week" ????? What kind of math is that? In a word: proofread.

Hey OSU, thanks for softening up USC for us! Be ready for the Civil War!

I thought UCLA had a good recruiting class. Guess they're not ready yet.

The Beavs have too many losses to make it to the Rose Bowl. Both USC and Arizona would have to lose two more games (both have tiebreaks over the Beavs), and the Ducks would have to lose one game plus the Civil War. Even then, the Beavs have to win out (which they can, but it won't be easy).
