Brown rolls past Cornell 34-14

ITHACA, N.Y. (AP)—Zachary Tronti rushed for three touchdowns and Kyle Newhall-Caballero threw for two scores to lead Brown in a 34-14 win over Cornell on Saturday.

Tronti rushed for 134 yards on 26 carries for the Bears (4-2, 2-1 Ivy League), and Newhall-Caballero was 26-for-40 with 338 yards and two interceptions. Buddy Farnham caught nine balls for 207 yards and two scores.

With the game tied at 7 at halftime, Brandon Lainhart intercepted Newhall-Caballero and returned it 24 yards to give Cornell a 14-7 lead just under 4 minutes into the second half. That was the last time the Big Red (2-4, 1-2) would score, as Brown ran off 27 straight points in the second half.

Newhall-Caballero threw a 56-yard TD to Farnham to pull Brown even and Tronti had a 3-yard rushing TD in the third, plus a pair of 2-yard scores in the fourth to seal the win.
