Scott Gray carried the other touchdown for Butler (6-0, 3-0 Pioneer Football League) and led the game in rushing with 99 yards.
The team’s defense had four sacks and held Valparaiso (1-5, 0-3) to 249 yards. Valpo’s QBs completed just 8 of 21 passing tries.
Eli Crawford made perhaps Valparaiso’s biggest play, intercepting a third-quarter pass by Butler’s Andrew Huck and returning it 60 yards for the TD.
Quinn Schafer ran for the team’s other touchdown later in the quarter.
