Return to OriginalTOLEDO, Ohio (AP)—DaJuane Collins scored Toledo’s go-ahead touchdown in the fourth quarter, and Barry Church blocked a field goal in the final seconds to preserve the Rockets’ 20-19 win over Northern Illinois on Saturday night.
The Huskies grabbed their first lead of the game to start the fourth quarter, as Chandler Harnish’s second 1-yard touchdown run put his team up 19-14.
But the Rockets (4-3, 2-1 Mid-American Conference) took the lead back when Collins, who rushed for 139 yards and two scores, ran it in from 4 yards out for a 20-19 lead. Toledo couldn’t convert the 2-point try.
The Huskies (3-3, 1-1) began their last possession with 2:43 left and drove 50 yards in just over two minutes, setting up the 42-yard field goal try by Mike Salerno with 37 seconds left.
Austin Dantin threw for 202 yards and a TD for Toledo, and Harnish ran for two Northern Illinois scores.
