NEW BRITAIN, Conn. (AP)—Brian Fowler scored two rushing touchdowns to lead Central Connecticut State’s ground attack as the Blue Devils defeated Robert Morris 42-21 on Saturday.
The Blue Devils (4-1, 2-0 Northeastern Conference) finished with 332 yards rushing, including 159 by Fowler.
Central Connecticut State trailed at halftime, but took its first lead of the game, 21-14, when Jose Paul returned the second half kickoff 95 yards.
The Blue Devils exploded for three touchdowns in the last 4:17 of the game. Rob Fisher caught a 40-yard touchdown pass from Hunter Wanket with 4:17 left to play, Fowler had a 66-yard run followed by a 44-yard run by Kevin Woolfolk with 56 seconds left.
The Colonials (0-6, 0-3) were led by Myles Russ with 135 yards on 16 carries and Camdin Crouse with 101 yards passing.
