Lafayette rallies to beat Columbia 24-21

EASTON, Pa. (AP)—Maurice White scored with 13 seconds remaining and Lafayette rallied to beat Columbia 24-21 on Saturday.

White scored on a 2-yard run and also ran for a 2-yard touchdown in the first quarter. The Leopards (4-1) rallied from a 21-10 halftime deficit.

Rob Curley hit Mitchell Bennett on a 1-yard touchdown pass in the third quarter to cut the lead to 21-17, then White’s game-winning run capped an 88-yard drive. Curley was 23-for-39 for 387 yards and three interceptions.

For the Lions (2-2), M.A. Olawale ran for a touchdown and passed for another. Olawale gave the Lions a 7-0 lead with a 27-yard touchdown run in the first quarter. Later in the first quarter after White tied the game for the Leopards, Olawale hit Austin Knowlin on a 21-yard touchdown pass for a 14-7 Lions lead.
