Late drive lifts Marist past Jacksonville 31-27

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. (AP)—Kevin Fitzpatrick caught a 26-yard pass from Chris Debowski with 7 seconds remaining to give Marist a 31-27 win over Jacksonville on Saturday.

The winning reception came on fourth-and-12 and capped an 11-play, 75-yard drive.

Debowski was 20 of 34 for 327 yards and three touchdowns to lead the Red Foxes (3-3, 2-2 Pioneer Football League).

Debowski hit James LaMacchia on a 43-yard pass with 6:34 to go to bring Marist within 27-24. LaMacchia finished with a career-high 10 catches for a school record 195 yards.

The Dolphins, who have been outscored in the fourth quarter in three straight games, led 27-17 on a 4-yard pass to Christopher Kuck from Josh McGregor with 8:30 left to play.

McGregor was 21 of 32 for 294 yards and four touchdowns. Ruddell Small had 121 yards on 24 carries for Jacksonville (2-3, 1-1).
