HAMILTON, N.Y. (AP)—Nate Eachus ran for 129 yards and three touchdowns to lead Colgate to a 45-23 win over Cornell on Saturday.
The Raiders (5-0) took a 14-0 lead in the first quarter after Eachus scored on a 34-yard run and a 5-yard touchdown run by Jordan McCord, who finished with 98 yards rushing on 18 carries.
Cornell (2-1) cut the lead to 21-10 in the second quarter on Nick Mlady’s 1-yard touchdown run. But Colgate answered with 17 straight points, highlighted by McCord’s 21-yard touchdown run and Eachus’ 9-yard TD run to pull ahead by 28.
Quarterback Greg Sullivan rushed for 84 yards on 17 attempts and a touchdown for Colgate, which totaled 344 yards rushing while holding the Big Red to 63 yards. Sullivan also was 14-for-18 passing for 217 yards and one interception.
Ben Ganter threw for 217 yards, a touchdown and an interception for Cornell.
