LEXINGTON, Ky. (AP)—Mark Ingram ran for a career-high 140 yards and two touchdowns to lead No. 3 Alabama past mistake-prone Kentucky 38-20 on Saturday.

Alabama quarterback Greg McElroy added a pair of scoring passes as the Crimson Tide (5-0, 2-0 SEC) pulled away from the Wildcats (2-2, 0-2) during a dizzying stretch in the second and third quarters when it scored 24 points in just over 5 minutes.

Derrick Locke ran for 76 yards and added another 63 yards receiving for Kentucky but fumbled late in the first half. Alabama’s Courtney Upshaw picked the ball up and sprinted 45 yards for a touchdown to give Alabama a 21-6 halftime lead and send the Crimson Tide off to the races.

Alabama turned four Kentucky turnovers into 17 points and had little trouble moving the ball after a sluggish start.

Ummmm! In '92, Bama didn't just 'slip in.' We had a tolerable offense, but one of the most stifling defenses ever.....We ended up beating UF in SEC playoff and scored more points on Miami than we had scored on most opponents all year (34-13). Most games that season had points scored by our defense.

It was a thrilling year for me and my dad. He was dying of cancer (died 5/3/93) and, as much as I enjoyed Bama going all of the way, I would have traded it all for him to have beat the cancer.

In the 1990s, Florida was demolished in the title game. The final was 62-24. This is by far the worst defeat in any title game.

So I'd say the SEC was down in the 1990s, too. If your team loses 62-24, then that conference should not be in the title game.

I think it's funny how Truth calls us rednecks and gives an address for Decatur, GA. HAHA!!!

All hail the mighty Truth. He is so much smarter than everybody else! He's such an expert analyst and knows it ALL!! Stats, websites, and facts. He claims to have it all.

(But when you present facts and websites for him, he refuses to acknowledge them).

    You're a hypocritical idiot!

Very respectable, Casie. Much applause goes out to you from my way. As I've stated before, Truth, politeness goes along way. You don't have to belittle people to get your point across. Also, Truth, thanks for the stats. I do agree with Casie about the SEC being competitve in the 70's and 90's, but you do have a valid point! RTR!!!

in all truthfulness, the only decade i would say that the sec was "down" or not u to par was the 80's. Alabama won 3 national titles in the 70's and finished #2 in 1977 and was voted team of that decade.
the 90's the sec had 3 titles and 2 runners up, while there were 3 seasons with split titles for the acc(if you count miami in 1990) and the big 12(nebraska and michigan in 1997). so the sec was right there and as competitive as anyone in the 90's, and the 2000's have been very good to the sec with 4 titles in 6 years and auburn going 14-0 and not getting a shot in 2004. that is my assesment and i think it is prety factual, by throwing miami in with the acc it does give them more credibility, but they have still been an irrevivant conference before the early 80's and since 2002. and other than 2 teams this decade(miami in the early 2000's and va tech being a winning but not championship program) the acc has been average at best.

thats how i feel, its been a pleasure debating you, i know we disagree on a lot but i beilieve what i do and my opinion is that facts support it. good luck to you and va tech, they are a solid program. soory to have belittled you over the last weel or so, its usually not my style.

so I assume by this admission that obviously the ACC as well as the Big 12 were far superior in the 70s, 80s, and 90s, since 4 of the 8 SEC national championships came in 2000+. Like I said I give the SEC credit in the last 6 years, they have been a better conference than the others, just not in the decades of the 70s, 80s, and 90s, (as I have stated all along)

you are right, i corrected my mistake, the acc by adding miami's 5 title that were won as a member of the big east and independant have 9, thats 1 more than the sec. if you go back 2 more years thr sec has 10, and if you wait until the end of this year the sec very well should have another.

MY BAD and i corrected it!!!

Casie you said and I quote, since 1980 using CURRENT conference affiliations, and giving credit to both teams in years that the title was split, here is the national title results by conference: SEC-8, acc-6, big10-4, big12-7, pac10-3, indepentants-1, mwc-1

Are you a total dumbass or what. I have got you burned big-time here. Using CURRENT conference affiliations, here is the total and the website dumbass

    ACC- 9 (4 in the 80s, 3 in the 90s, 1 in 2000+
    SEC - 8 (1 in the 80s., 3 in the 90s, and 4 in 2000+)

Of course I am just looking up these two conferences since none of this changes the stats that I have provided earlier.

Casie- you are such a baffoon. Here the official website. Tell me, is Clemson, FSU, Miami, & GT not CURRENT members of the ACC. Is this website inaccurate in terms of National championships. You should be ass-pounded for the stat you just provided. Tell me where I am wrong Casie. Tell me you freakin dumbass

No one who follows football needs to look up details to know that Miami, Florida State, Nebraska, and Oklahoma have won a good share of the titles since about 1980.

So the SEC retards can claim people are spending lots of time researching these details. But they're wrong, as usual.

And I'd rather hear from someone who has done research than a bunch of inbreds who keep trying to redefine history and keep clinging to a couple of years of games.

Casie - FACTS support the truth. What you just said confirmed everything I knew about you. You have no basis in credibility. You cannot possible know how many titles the SEC has won in the past 3 dacades compared to every other conference without doing the research. I presented the websites after a few minutes worth of search for each one. I have not spent hours researching the facts because the internet allows me to find what I need in seconds. Again, you cannot prove credible without providing me with some sort of proof...which you obviously have none. Keep in mind that I am not challenging SEC bowl victories, or SEC titles because every one of these is skewed due to the changing of conference names (as I have stated many times)

I continue to prove that not a single Bama fan can challenge me in facts. I own you ass-clowns

    rick z and truth: you guys must live together, you always post at the same time;
truth: we regulars on here do not post links, none of us look around, you are the only one, it is considered by most all of the rest of us to be rediculous and shows you have to spend 1/2 of your day looking up stuff that most of us know. of all the facts i have shown you, i spent about 5 mins. looking up a couple things, the majority, unlike you , i just know.

the facts are there for the sec, we all know it, in fact in the 3 or 4 days i have debated you 2 maybe 1 person, has sided with you. i know several people on here that pull for other conferences than the sec and they have all made fun of, dissagreed with and attacked you 2. way to go, you have no credibility on here.

neither of you have reached a ststus in life to compare with most of us, it is apparent by your hate, anger, and distortion of or lack of facts. since you hate the south so much, and assume it to be inferrior, it must be imbarrasing to live what i bet is a lower class of life, finacially, spiritually, and to have what seems to be a real lack of joy and satisfaction. i am sorry for you both, my time with you is done

Casie keeps trying to redefine the terms, but during the span of time that has been cited, Florida State, Miami, Nebraska, and Oklahoma were winning titles while the SEC teams were home watching Deliverance.

If Alabama had not sneaked in for a title in 1992, the SEC would have gone through a long dry spell. That's probably why the SEC retards are running their mouths now. They know it wasn't long ago they were on the outside looking in, almost every season.

    Casie / Michael H,
Show me websites that prove yoru asertions. I have provided over 20 website addresses. You have provided 0...as in your IQ. Not only have I provided you with over 20 websites, the facts I present are easily researchable. I challenge you to show one website that disproves any of the facts that I have presented. Keep in mind that I am not challenging you on most bowl victories, SEC national championships because we all know that is a factor of the fact that the SEC has remained virtually intact for 77 years. all those National championships by Nebraska, Oklahoma, Miami, Florida State...etc will be watered down since they were won while they were in different conferences. If the SEC somehow became the ass-pounding monkey conference in 1990, than the SEC would own no stats whatsoever. FACT remains, I have yet to see anyone refute any of the facts I have presented (obviously because they are irrefutable).

Obviously I have owned you guys because you guys (3-4 people) have kept posting all day long...hahahahahaahahaha. I have used profanity to sucker you in to spending your entire day on the message board. Face it, I own you and I am superior to you in every way (financially, appearance, intellect, job security, place in life...EVERYTHING). Hahahahahahahahaha

I don't know where his little girlfriend the zister got off to, must have been her bedtime.

Never got their addresses to sent their RSVP invitations to the frog gigging and catfish fry event.

Half Truth - That is all both Casie C and I have done is refute your facts. But you are not listening. We have laid out fact based information pointing out your misguilded stats. All you come back with is trash talk and insults. Does your Mother have to wash out your mouth everyday? Rumor has it that you and zister are the same person or life partners. You do know that the zister is 12 years old - right? That is not even legal in the South - thought that I would beat you to the punch on that one!

Listen, I am done with you as most of the rest of the bloggers are. You need to stick with you porn pay sites. At least they will agree with you - if you pay them enough money. They may laugh at your "Schlong" but it will be behind your back. Is that a Jewish word? At first I thought is was a Southern word for so long, see you later.
