ATLANTA (AP)—The Southeastern Conference says Georgia should not have been penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct after its go-ahead touchdown against No. 4 LSU.
Rogers Redding, the SEC’s coordinator of officials, said a video review of the play from a different angle than the official had showed receiver A.J. Green didn’t do anything improper after making a brilliant catch on a 16-yard touchdown.
The score game Georgia a 13-12 lead with 1:09 remaining, but the Bulldogs had to kick off from their own 15 after the 15-yard penalty. The Tigers returned it to the Georgia 43; two plays later, Charles Scott broke off a 33-yard touchdown run that gave LSU a 20-13 victory.

What is his background ?
How many years has he been an offical ?
How many bad calls has he made over the years ?
Is Michael Watson a good official who just made one BIG bad call?
Where is he officiating this weekend?

1. For those who blame Cox for his poor first half and costing them the game then you are true idiots as per logic 2.
2. LSU should have scored far more then the 6 points they got in the first half. INT in the End Zone on LSU's first drive. Poor decision by a young QB. LSU also should have taken a Field Goal instead of trying for the first AND they should have tried to put some points on the board instead of letting the first half expire.
3. I don't give a rats arse if the SEC says it was a bad call against Georgia. The fact is the refs called the same bad penalty against LSU.
4. I agree with bleek about Curran. Do NOT blame him. His arse was flying all over the field and frankly if it were not for him...LSU would have BLOWN OUT UGA. Curran stopped many big plays early. Just his presence was enough to make JJ think twice and take shorter yardage.
5. Someone needs to learn how to do their math. *coughs out The Annoying Little Dude* Had UGA of won they would have improved to 4-1 overall and 3-0 in SEC games instead of 2-1. So where in the world do you get 2-2 from ? They are 3-2.
Finally 6. Both teams allowed big plays and missed big tackles. You can not do that against any team. LSU finds a way to gut it out and win. That is the mark of a champion. UGA can still come back and bite everyone in the arse but it will be tough. So everyone that is...Quiet your damn whining and complaining. UGA lost the game. Worry about getting a win in your next game and for UGA's sake you should hope that LSU also defeats Florida so you'll be tired for the SEC East Lead. Improves your odds greatly.

If the SEC wants to be a true leader then we should be the first to say "we are not calling these celebration penalties anymore" I'm sure the other conferences will follow and F__K the NCAA if they don't like it...

All that said, it was a good game, lots of great moments from both teams, and Coach Richt again showed his strength of character by not stooping to blame the loss on the officials. Rather, like every good commander, he accepted responsibility and recognized the strengths and weaknesses of both teams. I too, believe him to be one of the classiest coaches in the SEC and belive UGA is lucky to have a man with his integrity at the helm.
As for Rick Z - you are conclusive proof that the gene pool, whereever it is that you live, is polluted.

I'll be sure to mention in all of the threads from now on that you think Georgia is worse than UTEP. Thanks for the tip, inbred retard!
