Wagner defeats St. Francis 56-48 in 3rd overtime

NEW YORK (AP)—Dominique Williams rushed for 102 yards and four touchdowns, including the game-winning score in the third overtime, to lead Wagner to a 56-48 victory over St. Francis (Pa.) on Saturday.

Williams scored on a 17-yard run and the Seahawks (2-2, 1-0 Northeast Conference) stopped St. Francis (1-3, 0-1) on its next possession.

Williams also scored on runs of 14, 2 and 3 yards. Nick Doscher led Wagner with 144 yards rushing and added three touchdowns.

St. Francis led 31-14 before Wagner rallied for a 34-31 lead with 20 fourth-quarter points. The Red Flash sent the game into overtime on Josh Thiel’s 20-yard field goal on the final play of regulation.

St. Francis’ John Kelly was 25-for-44 for 301 yards with four touchdown passes. Antoine Rivera caught 10 passes for 154 yards and three touchdowns and Jude Yearwood rushed for 118 yards and two touchdowns.
