SALT LAKE CITY (AP)—Terrance Cain threw for two touchdowns and Eddie Wide ran for 129 yards to help Utah cruise to a 30-14 win over Louisville on Saturday night.

Cain completed his first eight passes and the Utes scored two touchdowns 18 seconds apart to take control early and help get going again after a 31-24 loss at Oregon last week that ended the nation’s longest active winning streak.

Wide replaced Matt Asiata, who left after a knee injury on the game’s first touchdown, and made many of his 19 carries on direct snaps with Cain often lined up in the slot position.

After Louisville closed to 23-14 in the fourth quarter, Cain capped an 80-yard drive with a wide receiver screen pass to Jereme Brooks, who outran the Cardinals for a 34-yard touchdown.

Jeffree K you're just like the coach of your piece of cr*p school...your coach shuts up his players by forbidding them from using twitter now you, the moronic red raider that you are, hate when others have an opinion different from yours...just like your team that fell short last year, you're all hype but ultimately losers.....

hahaha you foolhardy Ute fans are so blind and dumb... you actually think you have a good team...you believe that i've got some swamp land in Florida to sell you fools. Utah blows they'll always be crap, never get national recognition b/c no one gives a crap about a no-name, rinky dink school stuck in nowhere USA. i feel bad for you people b/c all you have is a mid-major college team to root for....my condolences to all of you poor morons...errrr mormons.

bob r why don't you just go to hell, most of the country is tired of hearing you spout off about this and that, and your schedule is crap. No one cares what you have to say, if you don't like Utah, or the MWC or the WAC or any mid major university. Then get the hell off our blogs go dig a hole and stick your head in it and pretend you know what you are talking about. GO UTES!

Bob - you must have graduated from Florida or Alabama. You can't add or subtract. It was 16, not 14.

    Utah is a good team.

only a 14 point win at home against a crap Louisville team...perfect example of how Utah blows and doesn't deserve any national recognition...thankfully the nation won't have to hear the Utes moaning about "deserving" a shot at the national championship b/c they go undefeated against a crap schedule...keep the mid-majors in mid-major bowl games where they belong...the nation wants and deserves to see the Big Ten, Pac 10, Big 12 and SEC teams play.

The Utes will be an excellent team if they can eliminate stupid penalties & turnovers and develop some consistency on offense. And they need to get Asiata and Shakerin healthy.....

Utes are looking good. They dropped that close one to Oregon, but they should have another fine season.
