TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (AP)—Redshirt freshman B.J. Daniels ran for 126 yards and threw two touchdown passes in his first collegiate start Saturday to lead undefeated South Florida to a 17-7 win at No. 18 Florida State in the first meeting between the schools.
Daniels was filling in for senior Matt Grothe, out for the season with a knee injury.
It was the first time since Nebraska’s Steve Taylor ran for 139 yards against the Seminoles in 1986 that an opposing quarterback rushed for over 100 yards against them.
Florida State (2-2) lost four fumbles, including a critical one by quarterback Christian Ponder that allowed USF to ice the game.
Daniels, a Tallahassee kid not heavily recruited by Florida State, totaled 341 yards of offense.

The only thing anyone can take from this game are 2 things: USF played better and wanted the win more. FSU didn't show up. Plain and simple.
On that given day, USF was better. Are they a better team than FSU in general? Probably not, but they won so you gotta give it to them. For the life of me I cannot figure out why FSU is allowing Bowden to stick around. It's sad because a great coach who has not only done amazing things for FSU, but for the entire college football world, is going to be forced out of his job. He should have hung it up 4-5 years ago. I gaurantee we wouldn't be having any of these conversations right now. Most of you might not know, but after the game almost the entire FSU team was out on the field high-fiving and joking around with their old buddies on USF, like nothing bad had just happened. Ponder was pissed, and 2 players were on the bench clearly dissapointed... 2 players. Well, they were freshman (Greg Reid and Jacobbi McDaniel). What does that state about your program when 2 freshman and your QB are the only ones that seemed dissapointed after such a huge upset? It all falls back on the coaches.
On a brighter note, thank you USF fans for the comments. We (real) FSU fans always treat our visiting fans with the upmost respect. I was at the game as well and offered my congradulations to a few Bulls fans. You earned it and have a great team to be proud of.

The offensive line should wear dresses this week to classes.

Posted a prayer for Tim Tebow last night on facebook and the UF fans jumped all over me and put FSU down. Nice. They are becoming as classless as "the U". Too bad too. I'll still root for the Gators until we play them.
Totally agree with some that this is just a game. And true fans of FSU, will be there win or lose. Watched them in Baghdad for the FSU-Miami game and thought they were special (they are a special team that have nothing left to lose anymore). Remember, we have yet to start the games that matter.
Go Noles!

I'm a little surprised the Bulls didn't break the top 25, but that's what we get for playing 3 cupcakes to start the season.
Thanks for the hospitality Noles! Go Bulls!

Actually, I do have the right to act like a jerk. But then, you have a right to misinterpret me as well.
