NORMAN, Okla. (AP)—In a Sept. 19 story about Oklahoma’s 45-0 win against Tulsa, The Associated Press erroneously reported that OU quarterback Landry Jones tied an NCAA record for most touchdown passes by a freshman with six. Giovanni Vizza threw eight touchdown passes for North Texas in a 74-62 loss to Navy on Nov. 10, 2007.

NCAA assistant director of statistics Jeff Williams notified Oklahoma on Monday that Vizza’s record had been “overlooked” and had not been entered in NCAA records.

Doesn't Texas realize that if they lose Colt McCoy in the middle of a game that they might lose? OU wasn't prepared with a second quarterback but they are now!

hey Ms CommonSense, I mean DOUCHEBOY!

go troll where you are wanted before you get put to shame AGAIN!

maybe I am kinda glad to see you on here but only because I have a couple of items to mention to you...

since you are a closet USuC fan, let me start by saying HAHAHAHAHA!!!! beaten by Washington? HAHAHAHAHA!!! you are such a poser / loser / douche

and it looks like your Shorthorns aren't as good as you would have us believe... but playing LaMonroe and Wyoming won't earn you any respect at the end of the year... AGAIN!

Congrats... you beat TTech... but if Tech can get to McCoy, what do you think the "real McCoy" is gonna do to Colt on Oct17th?

Sooner D... #1 in the nation... AGAIN!

btw, your mom needs you... time for her hourly douche Doucheboy... but I doubt the stink will ever go away...

I hope Texas wins the big 12 this year so the conference doesnt get embarrassed in the title game again by another overrated Sooner team.

You're kidding, right? Since when did Texas acknowledge it was part of a conference? With Texas, its always Texas this and Texas that, *whine*, *sniffle*, *cry*. We've seen your shorthorns playt his year too. You are going to lose to the SOONERS again.

Don't underestimate the shutout, especially against a team like Tulsa. If OU keeps building on the success of each game, come Big 12 time they will be solid. Nothing UT has done so far has been superior. Colt is the hick egotist he's been trained to believe in, and has done nothing athletic to be noticed. They're D is suspect. They will be watching the Miami game more than any one. If G McCoy and company do their job in Land Shark, we will be a great team this year!

The Texas fans & team are never as respected as OU fans when it comes 2 class & intelligence level. Many BYU fans even gave us alot of respect 4 the kindness & class that we showed them, even after we lost. I was at that game, and at our hotel, OU fans outnumbered the BYU ones at least 6 to 1. Everyone, incl. me, showed nothing but kindness 2 them and anything about the game was just playful nagging about who is gonna win. Texas fans seem 2 have alot of arrogance, which may hide their insecurities as 2nd best in the Big 12 South to the 'Okies'. Their whiny hypocrisy is funny at times, yet ultimately sad. I run into more OU fans in the Dallas Metroplex that live there, than I have Texas fans. I've seen them at Rangers games, and all around the suburbs like Grapevine, Arlington, Allen,Coppell, etc. Only seen a couple of Longhorns bumper stickers, license plates, & front porch flags in the many trips I've been there. It is mostly Dallas Cowboys, Rangers, or even Texas Tech, A & M, and TCU fans I've seen more of. Texas fans can't even be loyal & devoted to their own Longhorn team compared to OU,or even the OSU Cowboys!

It's amazing that with every OU column that comes out, you see these whining Texas fans come out how they deserved to be in the title game this, they deserve that. How about you win your games and stop talking about how OU is embarassing the The Big 12. You guys would have been creamed by Florida instead of it being a competitive game like it was with OU. We'll see you guys in October with our improved O-line, a healthy Heisman, and our defense breaking Colt's knees. BOOMER!!!!

did I see a post from an OU fan stating he didn't want bradford to start when he is healthy? I am just a college football fan from NY, and I admit Landry played well, but you don't want bradford to start when he is healthy? As a football fan, I respectfully disagree.

Florida ST. made the Sooners offence look pretty bad by puting 54 points on BYU. I hope Texas wins the big 12 this year so the conference doesnt get embarrassed in the title game again by another overrated Sooner team.

tommycornstubble...please go and find another team to root for. Also, for your information, Stoops has 2 BCS wins under his belt. Finally, I'll take Stoops over any other coach any day. Again, I'm sure there is plenty of space on other team's bandwagons so please feel free to join them.

As for the Big 12 North...I think the Cornhuskers are the team to beat up there.

    BOOMER SOONER!!!

Although Tulsa was no powerhouse, it is always nice to see those SOONERS win....I think LJ is looking pretty good at QB and seems to be getting a feel for it back there.....I don't know what the decision will be until game time, but I think it would be best to keep Sam B. on the bench through the Miami game and let him rest that shoulder...he can then do a warm up against Baylor and be ready for Texas (provided we get past Miami).....Who knows how it will all pan out....If OU can run the table and win the BIG 12, then we just might get another shot at Florida.....of course in the BIG 12, there is always a chance of letting one of those other teams sneak up and beat you...like the Mizzou, K-State, OSU, T-Tech, etc.....The Sooners still have a tough row to hoe.....All I know is that I don't think I could stand seeing us go to another BCS championship game and get beat again.....We are now 1-4 in the championship....
We will have to go week to week....GO SOONERS!!!!!

Much is made of football in the MidWest. Truth is, teams are`either loaded with good players, not talent, or they dont have a good program. They have to all compete with each other. You get a league of "haves" versus the "have nots". Not to mention college players in their mid 20's that dont go no where afterwards. Somehow they think thats how football is supposed to be played.

hey mizzou fans. talk all the crap u want. I mean everybody beats the big 11. except for notre dame that is. As for ur schedule dont even try. What the hell conference does the powerhouse from mighty Furman even play in. As for the dumbass who keeps spouting off about the bcs, when mizzou actually's backs its way into the BCS then you can talk smack. For the record Bob Stoops is 2-4 in BCS games. With a National Championship in 2000. How many titles does Mizzou have? Exactly. As for the power of the stache, he is getting better every game but Sam Bradford is a freaking Heisman Winner. Quick 50 bucks to the person who can name a Mizzou Heisman Winner, as the "Booger Man" came the closest. I want Sam back in there ASAP. No question. And who knows with Colt and the "Saint Virgin" both struggling Sam still has an outside shot at another Heisman. As for Miami, Just Bring It.

I hope Landry plays through the Miami game so the chemistry he's established with the team can prosper. Sam can come back for Baylor if he's ready, and get the rust out. Then them LONGHORNS will have to prepare for both slingers. GO BIG 12 CHAMPS SOONERS !!!

It would be just like stoopsee boy to pull this kid out of the line up and mess up something that is flowing so well on offense, and just when it seems like our defense is starting to gel real well, so go ahead stoopsee and show us OU fans somemore of your real fancy coaching, I just happen to remember 0-5 BCS, does that ring a bell stoopsee boy. I do not see how this person lives with hisself, and thinks that he is doing a real good job. The thing that bothers me the most is that the presodent of the U., and board of regents can continue to ignore thsi third rate coaching, go stoopsee you have then fooled for now, they are going to wake up one of these days and see this stupid 0-5 BCS crap. go ahead and finish this season off the bad of Oklahoma.

The reason Landry was in all the way was to protect our 3rd string QB's redshirt, btw...
