COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP)—Blaine Gabbert threw for three touchdowns and ran for another as Missouri used a trick play to score the first of its six consecutive TDs in a 52-12 victory over Furman on Saturday.
Gabbert completed 17 of 25 passes for 256 yards and tied his career high with three TD throws. He ran 40 yards for another score.
Missouri (3-0) scored its first touchdown on a 40-yard pass from receiver Danario Alexander to fellow wideout Jared Perry. The play started with a cross-field lateral from Gabbert to Alexander.
Perry added a 48-yard TD catch on the Tigers’ next possession and set career highs with seven catches for 161 yards. Alexander also caught two TD passes.
Missouri led 42-0 at halftime before Furman (2-1) scored on a 21-yard pass from Jordan Sorrells to Tyler Maples.

I also don't see how anyone could say that we choked in the Big 12 Championship game because we were CLEARLY the lesser team. Our offense wasn't as good, nor was our defense. Everyone knew it. No one was surprised at our loss. That's what everyone expected. I doubt any other Big 12 North team would have performed better last year or the year before.
You are obviously free to comment on this board all you want but there is absolutely nothing positive you could possibly achieve by trying to start an argument with Mizzou fans just because you don't like our trash-talking on OUR message board about NU and KU. If MU fans are on your message boards talking trash, then I am sorry because that is not what represents the majority of Mizzou fans. Overall, we are a classy bunch, as I am sure are majority of the Nebraska fans and even the Kansas fans (maybe).

Even a Big 12 North title is nothing if Texas and Oklahoma are going to blow either one of us out in a championship game. It's still the JV versus the Varsity at this point. However, two home games against the best of the Big 12 South, now that will be a chance for the North to show it's arrived, and make the annual Thanksgiving showdown truly mean something.

If Missouri wants to be ranked, they can't afford to have any more Bowling Green mishaps, especially at home. That was a close game, and for a team that wants to be ranked, you have to prove you are steps ahead of programs like Furman, Duke, Northern Colorado, Illinois, etc...
Missouri wins next week, they enter the Top 25.
David W C- You're a complete moron! offence? chock? Save yourself the trouble and don't speak. If you talk like a moron no one will take you seriously... I wouldn't exactly call Furman or Bowling Green top tier programs either....

Texas=Texas. Now I know KU has to play them in Austin which is definitely much more difficult than playing them at home. Either way though, it's still Texas. Most likely the Longhorns will beat both MU and KU.
Oklahoma Oklahoma State. It somewhat evens out because Mizzou has to go to Stillwater and Kansas at least gets to host the Sooners in Lawrence. At any rate, OU is still the better team. This is particularly true when OU gets Bradford back under center. However, I think the matchup between the Sooners and the Cowboys will be a closer game than many expect.
Nebraska Texas Tech. It seems that way for now at least which is why I would argue that NU should be the third toughest game on Kansas' schedule as well. It is very possible for this to change but at least at this point in the season it appears that NU is the better team.
Again, KU barely has it a little bit harder than MU in those three games. It's not like it's a big enough difference to say that, when it's all said and done, KU had a much tougher road than Mizzou to get to the conference championship. I don't mean to be disrespectful. I just felt like Mizzou's SOS was being underrated.

I know! I don't know WHAT KU would do if they had Mizzery's tough tough schedule. I mean Bowling Green?! Gasp. Furman? Shudder. Nevada?! Faint. Illinois? Oh my god, you guys have it SO rough.
While I admit KU's schedule is a little weaker than Mizzoura's, they make up for it in Big 12 play.
Toughest three games
KU-
Oklahoma
@ Texas Tech
@ Texas
Mizzouri's?
Texas
@OSU
Nebraska
Can't wait to see Mizzery back in the Top 25 after a great win against Furman. They should be ranked at least 19. That is if they have their voters voting instead of the ones that gave them their deserving 3 votes at the start of the season.
