Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeats Langston 45-30

PINE BLUFF, Ark. (AP)—Kevin Thornton had three interceptions and returned two for touchdowns as Arkansas-Pine Bluff defeated Langston 45-30 Saturday night.

Mickey Dean added 134 rushing yards and a touchdown on 28 carries for Pine Bluff (1-1).

Langston (2-1) was limited to 107 yards of total offense and threw six interceptions.

Thornton’s touchdowns were on returns of 32 and 27 yards and came 1 minute, 56 seconds apart in the third quarter.

Quarterback Rontrell Bailey passed for 155 yards and a touchdown, but also threw three interceptions.

Carlos Reyes kicked three field goals for Pine Bluff in the second quarter.

Mickey Dean and Dhabian Woodfin, who scored the game winner, each added TDs for Pine Bluff in the fourth.

Langston scored on two turnovers in the third, a fumble recovery by Stephen Kemp and a 36-yard interception return by Cayetano Hingle.
