I believe a victory over a D-IAA is allowed to a team like SMU, since they didn't make post season last year.

I may be mistaken, but isn't this allowed for a non bowl team the previous yr?

Now had SMU made a bowl game last year and then goes 6-6 this year with 1 win over an FCS team, then it wouldn't count. I could be wrong though. I remember it use to be this way.

After Stephen F. Austin put up 92 points yesterday, maybe last week's close win wasn't such a surprise. Granted they did it against a NAIA team, but still 92-0 is difficult with 11 high schoolers on the opposite side of the line.

    Go Ponies!!!

unfortunately, smu"s win against stephen f austin doesn,t count towards making a bowl game.it looks like they will have to win 7 games to be bowl eligible

SMU is 2-0!! Really?? 3-0 if they beat Washington State.

SMU will go 6-6 maybe. As long as the QB keeps the ints low unlike last season.
