I certainly didn't mean to smack the foundation. I'm from Denton, graduated from NT, and was on the fencing team. I had a great time at NT. The bonfires at Homecoming were the best; book burning, pom poms, the fresh smell of autumn. Incidently, becoming inflammed with comments ment in jest are bad for the digestion.

I went to the game and sat through the whole rainy episode. Wow! what an exciting finish to an otherwise disappointing game where each team tried to commit a more outrageous mistake than the other.

Ohio seemed to have a better defense than offense, and indeed the defense seemed to turn the momentum of the game by scoring on the interception and making some excellent plays in the red zone.

NT had the more polished offense but made some errors that cost them the game. Whereas OU made more errors, they were not as costly. Both teams took way too many penalties many of which were stupid. I am pretty sure a lot of Texas High School teams play with more discipline than these guys showed. I notice Ohio is starting to recruit in Texas now. Maybe Cleve Bryant the ex Ohio Quarterback who coaches at Texas is sending in some scouting info?

I'm an OHIO Alum and fan. I can respect UNT and can see that they are on their way back to the top of the Sun Belt. To bash OHIO because they beat your team... you have no class and you give real UNT fans in a bad name.

geez, maxeyb that was thirty-eight years ago. things are different now. have some faith - north texas is getting there. we played awesome, it was just an unlucky end. our fan base sucks because of people like you.

Good old NT. When I began my freshman year in '71 we had a loosing football team and apparently NT always will. Thirty-eight years ago nose pack, Fry St., pretty girls, and Brave Combo all outranked watching stoned football players losing another game. Now based in Pittsburgh I get a smile from these friendly folks when I inform them about "Mean Joe Green", you know what I mean.
