Curley leads Lafayette past Georgetown 28-3

WASHINGTON, D.C. (AP)—Rob Curley threw three touchdown passes in Lafayette’s 28-3 win over Georgetown Saturday night as the Leopards beat the Hoyas for the sixth straight time.

Curley, who passed for 256 yards, hit Duaeno Dorsey twice for touchdowns in the second quarter as Lafayette (1-0) built a 21-0 lead.

Tim Watson, who ran for 58 yards on five carries, scored the Leopards first touchdown on a 48-yard run. Maurice White led Lafayette with 76 yards rushing on 17 carries.

The Leopards piled up 464 yards of total offense and held Georgetown (0-2) to 19 yards rushing on 22 carries.

The Leopards won their season opener for the eighth straight time.

Georgetown’s only score came on a 33-yard field goal by Collin Meador.

Sidney Baker passed for 119 yards for Georgetown.
